Why sunset is the table to book
Between roughly 60 and 30 minutes before sunset, the light comes in low and warm across the plateau. The pyramid faces glow, the Grand Egyptian Museum's stone picks up the same tone, and the whole panorama shifts colour every few minutes.
Twenty minutes after the sun disappears comes blue hour — a short, deep-cobalt window where the monuments switch from daylight to floodlight. It is the easiest time of day to take a good photo on a phone, with no harsh shadows and no tripod needed.
How to plan the evening
Arrive an hour early, order drinks and something to share while the light works, then move to mains as the pyramids light up. Rail-side terrace tables give the cleanest sightline; request one when you reserve and we will seat you as close as availability allows.
